The Tar Series kickwaxes are best in new snow. The tar additive will help prevent icing which is common with newer snow types. The tar purple is best with a warmer snowfall when glazing is happening after a few people ski in the track. Higher moisture content is important and purple will be best around the mid to upper 20s. Suggestions for binder would be a standard base wax without any klister additive like Rex Base, or Vauhti GS Base AT because of the new snow.
